Frequently Asked Questions

Q:      What class should I register my child for?
A:      Beginner I Band Classes are for students with no prior playing experience.  Beginner II Band classes are for students with one year playing experience.  Middle School Honor Band is for any middle school student who is enrolled in Band during the school day.

Q:      Are there classes on days when the Franklin Public Schools have ½ days?
A:      Yes.  Click this link for the Band School 2017-2018 Lesson Calendar.

Q:      Can I register my child for a Band class after classes have already begun?
A:      Sometimes.  If a class is full, you will not be able to register for it during the online registration process.  If there is space, you will be to register.  If you have any questions, please contact us at 508-613-1481 or MusicAcademy@franklinps.net.

Q:      What should I do if my child will be absent?
A:      As soon as you know your child will be missing a class, please contact us at 508-613-1481 or MusicAcademy@franklinps.net.  Please provide the student’s name and class.
