The Band School of Franklin, directed by Ms. Nicole Wright, provides students in grades 4-9 the opportunity to participate in small group instrumental lessons after school, and participate in two full ensemble concerts, one in December and one in May.
Lessons are taught by professional musicians and educators, with additional support provided by Franklin High School music mentors.

Instrument Rental Night: Thursday September 22nd, 4:30-7:30 PM, FHS Media Center. Use the main school entrance, not the voting/gym entrance.

--Classes will be held on Tuesday afternoons at Horace Mann Middle School beginning October 4, 2022.

Beginner I Classes (Tue., 3:30 PM, 45-min, $350):
Small group instruction for students with no prior playing experience. 
Check out our introductory video for Beginners!
--Flute (also the starter instrument for piccolo)
--Clarinet (also the starter instrument for saxophone)
--Trombone (also the starter instrument for tuba, baritone)
--Trumpet (also the starter instrument for French horn)

Beginner II Class (Tue., 4:30 PM, 45-min, $350):
Small group instruction for students with one year of prior playing experience. 
--All band instruments are included.

Honor Band (Tue., 5:30 PM, 60-min, $375):
Honor Band is for 6-9 graders with 2 or more years of playing experience who are enthusiastic about music and want to play in an ensemble in addition to the school-day band program. Classes are held at Horace Mann Middle School on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM.  Students must be enrolled in the school-day band. (If you wish to sign-up for the school-day band program, please contact your middle school directly.)
