HOW TO SIGN UP:
AUDITIONS (Performers only, not tech/crew):
There are no cuts in the Footlighters program. Everyone who wants to participate will participate. Auditions and callbacks are a learning experience for students and a way for the show’s directors to assign specific roles.

  • Students who would like any type of acting role (main, supporting, or ensemble) will prepare a monologue and a song.
  • Students may inform the directors at the time of their audition if they are interested in being a part of the ensemble only, or only want a small speaking part.
  • Those wishing a bigger part may not indicate the specific role they are hoping to get.
TECH / CREW OPPORTUNITIES:
There are multiple positions available for students interested in the technical and crew part of the show.
  • Click for a list of the FOOTLIGHTERS TECH OPPORTUNITIES.
  • Tech/crew students do not need to audition or come to the auditions. Once you sign up through the AUDITION & TECH INTAKE FORM, you are considered part of the show.
  • Tech/crew students are generally not expected to attend rehearsals until at least March.
  • Students in each tech/crew group will be given specific schedules by the show’s Technical Director.
CALENDAR / REHEARSALS:
Click for the FOOTLIGHTERS HIGH-LEVEL REHEARSAL CALENDAR
  • The calendar above shows very generally when there are rehearsals or not.
  • Most rehearsals will begin at 2:30 pm. Some Wednesdays will start at 3:30 pm.
  • Not all students will be required to attend every rehearsal.
  • Each student, depending on their role/position, will have a different rehearsal schedule.
  • Students will receive through the FOOTLOOSE GOOGLE CLASSROOM a specific monthly (and sometimes weekly) schedule of their rehearsal days and times.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS:
  • We are looking for 1-2 Parent Volunteers each rehearsal day to monitor the students in the Horace Mann Auditorium from 1:50 - 2:30 pm.
    • This is so students are supervised between school dismissal and rehearsal start.
    • Please click the PARENT VOLUNTEER FORM to sign up.
    • We will create a volunteer schedule and email it with information and instructions.
IMPORTANT POLICIES & INFORMATION:
  • Click for the FOOTLIGHTERS 2024 POLICIES, which includes important information about student drop-off, where to enter the building, pick-up, and more.
